Greetings and hearty regards from Djottin parish.We are very pleased to learn of your program to join us at least in spirit and through the persons of Ulf Erdmann,Brigitte Henrich and Rudolf Fleckenstein in the celebration of our parish paratnership with Unterliederbach.Our preparations is greatly spiritual especially with the wish that God may help us realise our envisaged encounter.Our regards to all who are dear to you and us especially the parish pastoral council,the altar servers, the womens organisation, the parish priest, the scouts,Stfan,Dr Angelica Barth, and all who are dear to us.
News;We finished with celebrations marking our parish pastoral week, had eucharistic congresses in all our mission stations and all our schools scored 100% in their final examinations.We have opened a new mission station in Ngamase, a part of the Buh Christian community who opted to dissociate from the rest and cooperate with the entire parish.We have constructed a semi permanent church structure in this mission station and one in Keri which are already useable though not yet complete. We intend that our jubilee visitors will visit all our mission stations whish are accessible in the rainy season.
Ours is a parish of partial primary and partial secondary evangelisation with ten mission stataion,one priest,11catechist, and some ecclesial communities, new movements and prayer groups.It covers a land with population base of stock and our most urgent problem is that posed by AIDS infected and affected persons like the orphans and widows and widowers.The general occupation of 95% of our people is hand to mouth faarming. Our parish topography is rough ,hilly and rugged.Our parish community is not much literate and the people are generally welcoming and appreciattive of christian friendship and ideas.WE have four primary schools and three post primary schools in this parish.Three of our mission stations are not very accessible by car;Bamti,Nkalidin and Ngai.Hoping to hear from you and to see you atleast during the partnership praywer.Its me The priest of st joseph parish Djottin, Diocese of Kumbo.God bless us all.
